Chemical Injector FAQ’s

How do you adjust the pressure washer chemical injector?

You can, on some models, INCREASE the chemical injection rate by turning the valve COUNTERCLOCKWISE. You can DECREASE the rate by turning the valve CLOCKWISE.

What is the chemical injection to water ratio?

The ratio that the chemical is diluted varies slightly from unit to unit. The most common ratios fall between 12:1 and 18:1.

Do I need high-pressure or low-pressure detergent?

Generally speaking, low-pressure detergent works better than high-pressure detergent. When detergent is applied to a surface, it needs time to penetrate the spill. When high-pressure detergent is added to the system, much of the detergent is blown off during the application. Low-pressure detergent can be spread evenly and with less splash back.

Can I use bleach in my pressure washer?

NO! You should never use anything but pressure washer safe cleaning solutions. Use of other chemicals such as bleach will damage seals and o-rings in the gun, wand, hoses and pumps. What chemicals can be used? Use only chemicals designed for pressure washer use (pressure washer approved). They will not damage your pressure washer, plus they are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Check out the pressure washer chemical injector products...
