The best way to choose between the pressure washer engines is to decide what type of job you will be using it for and in what type of locations. Below is a brief description of pressure washer engines to help you choose the best one for your needs.

Gas Powered Engines

If you are looking for a pressure washer that can be used for large areas and in places that may not have access to electricity, you have two options. One of these options would be purchasing a gas power engine. These pressure washer engines are designed to provide you with the most pressure per square inch (PSI) because they are made for large secluded areas.

Honda and Briggs are considered the most popular engine models in this category and you can expect to receive the following from one of these units.

  • Fast cleaning times.
  • Convenience of maneuverability
  • Industrial parts
  • Industrial attachment

Diesel Powered Engines

Your second option for a unit that does not need electricity and that is capable of cleaning large areas fast are the pressure washer engines that are diesel powered. Diesel powered engines are heavy duty and permits a stronger pressure flow than you can receive from a gas powered one. These models are very popular for contractors and anyone doing very large pressure washing jobs.

Electric Powered Engines

If you know that your pressure washing jobs are going to be done within areas that electricity is available then electric pressure washer engines make excellent units. You can choose between units designed for light weight to heavy jobs, depending on your need. These hot or cold units are quiet running and very economical.

Hydraulic Pressure Washer

There is one more type of pressure washer engines available although they are mainly used in construction, mines or for power washing farm equipment or agricultural purposes. With the hydraulic pressure washers you do not need electricity, instead you attach the unit to the specified oil power source and you are ready to go. It comes equipped with heavy duty trigger gun, wand and a forty foot hose.
