Tanks can come in various shapes and sizes. Various liquids can be stored to include water, biodiesel, and even some foods. These tanks conform to U.S Food and Drug Administration regulation guidelines. The Food and Drug Administration approves materials for use in storing water and food materials. This line of storage tanks offers excellent chemical resistance too. Storage tanks can be either used for transporting liquids or for stationary use. Water tanks provide for the storage of drinking water (potable), irrigation (agriculture), fire (suppression), agricultural (farming and livestock), chemical manufacturing, food preparation and many other applications. There are many configurations that include various rectangular cube shaped tanks, cone bottom and special shapes for specific design requirements. Storage tanks are available in many shapes, (vertical and horizontal cylindrical) (open top and closed top ) (flat bottom, cone bottom, slope bottom and dish bottom)but large tanks tend to be vertical cylindrical, or to have rounded corners transition from vertical side wall to bottom profile, to easier withstand hydraulic hydrostatically induced pressure of contained liquid. Elliptical Storage Tanks from 200 to 1600 gallon sizes

Elliptical Storage Tanks can be selected for stationary or transportable (non-D.O.T. regulated) applications both indoors and outdoors. The elliptical tank lowers the center of gravity to enhance stability and visibility. The tanks feature a standard 2-1/2” collection sump on the bottom for full drain out. An 8-1/2” deep sump option is available on the 500-1000 gallon sizes. Sump is located directly under the lid on standard tanks, but a center sump option is available on the largest sizes. These tanks require the bottom to be fully supported with a cradle for use. The tanks are manufactured from medium-density polyethylene with U.V. stabilizers and are designed for containment of liquids of up to 1.7 specific gravity. Tank walls are translucent for level viewing and equipped with gallon indicators. Warranty period is (2) two years.

Elliptical Storage Tank Cradles

Elliptical Storage Tanks require a cradle to fully support weight of tank. Storage Tank cradles include bands in quantities appropriate based on size. Bands are powder-coated silver in color, except for 1600 gallon in which bands are powder-coated black. Elliptical Tanks are available with the following sump options:
             - 2.5" sump (standard)
             - 6" deep boxed sump (TD-HED1600-78 only). Deep sump part numbers begin with "HED"
             - 8.5" sloped deep sump
